Fantastic tandem hang gliding experience above Abel Tasman. I could see Kaikoura mountains to Farewell Spit. Cool and friendly pilot and team, and a chance to fly it as well.

One of the major highlights of a 3 month tour of NZ.
Considering that I don't have a head for heights this was an exhilerating experience. The run-up to the flight (pick-up, registration, outfitting) was all so low key and friendly that I felt totally comfortable. That little machine that was to take me up look fragile yet reliable on the ground and when i was up in the air I felt totally secure. The most stunning sight was seeing my shadow on a cloud a few hundred feet below me surrounded by a complete circular rainbow. A memory for me to keep for the rest of my life.
I'll do it again, next time I'm in NZ.
Do it - you'll regret it otherwise.

Microlight flying. Very fun. Amazing views. The water below you is so clear you can see stingrays and seals below you.

Great experience! Did the microlight flight over Abel Tasman. Great way to see the sights... being out in the elements. Everybody was super friendly and you could tell the pilot enjoyed his job. Definitely worth it and would highly recommend.
