We did the full day Marine Reserve kayak trip which was excellent. They take you out on a motorboat then you kayak back. At the island we saw seals and a blue penguin and lots of birds. We paddled into various lagoons and waterways on the way back. Lunch on the beach was nice with plenty of time to relax and swim. A bit tired by the end but not too bad as 2 person kayak and fairly leisurely pace of paddling.

Seamless day trip for a walk and kayak, with pickup and drop off. Knowledgable guides across the board, very friendly, great equipment condition. Tough to pick a kayak company with so many options, but they are small enough and seem to care a lot.

Great day kayaking on the Abel Tasman coast. Kahu made the freedom kayaking and camping overnight easy with their co-ordination of details.

Warm welcome from the crew, safety instructions were clear and not too long. The trip itself was amazing as well! Moreover, it was convenient to rent camping stuff as well.

We rented a kayak for one day from Marahau to Anchorage Bay and after we do the return by walk. Kayak time was very nice but the trek into the forest not as beautiful.

We did the freedom kayaking for a whole day in the Abel Tasman National Park with Kahu Kayaks and felt very well cared for. They helped us packing our kayak, we got safety instructions and some more help once we were on the water. Sadly, we had less time to kayak than expected as the procedures in the morning took quite some time and we had to be back by 4pm.

Good company, employees are very helpful, the way to Awaroa Bay was good, the walk back was nice, good value for money.

Friendly freedom kayaking with a good price. The forecast we were given was calm and easy but this changed quickly on the way back. Of 30+ kayakers out that morning, we were one of 4 boats to paddle back through increasingly dangerous weather. It did make it really fun though. I would have expected some help but it was cheap.

We had Mark (the Canadian) as our guide. He was not just knowledgeable but charismatic and empathetic to the needs of our small tour group. We found all staff to be very friendly and helpful. Totally worth paying for a guide! The park is amazing and we are really glad we had Mark who knew all about the local geography of the region and park and was very knowledgeable on the flora and fauna! Thanks!

Amazing beautiful coastline. We paddled up North for two days and back again staying at secluded campsites only accessible by boat. $14 per night for a campsite, $170 per person for four days kayaking.
