One of many companies offering guided kayak tours and freedom kayaking, based in Marahau, close to the entrance of Abel Tasman National Park. Kahu seems a good choice.
Great fun, good help for freedom kayaking. They book campgrounds etc as well; weather report could have been better, also more information about the route times. Very good instructions though.

It was very good because our guide was a very experienced kayaker. But we had too less time for the price.
It was a very nice trip but we had to pay for one day and we caught only 4 hours kayaking.

It is a good company, not so expensive and a good teacher for the kayak.
One day on my own, nice to be on my own, but sometimes hard to handle everything and find the way back. The Able Tasman National Park is awesome and you can see a lot.
At the Abel Tasman you have your own kayaks. Its cheap, you see the secret places on small islands, seals and awesome places around Abel Tasman.
Nice workers, good instructions. but it could be cheaper.
What a fantastic time I had kayaking with Kahu. They were very organised and the instructors, Gary and Sophie, were super friendly and very informative. The morning was very relaxed and gave a lot of freedom to us novice kayakers. It is a shame I had limited time as I would happily have done more kayaking on a longer mixed tour. Also enjoyed surprise cookies and juice on the beach :-)

Very well organized and really friendly. Good instructions for the freedom kayaking. We went kayaking for 1 day up to Bark Bay, overnight there and hiked back the next day. Pick-up and drop off service in Motueka is a plus.
Our guide was just amazing, very good stories, good coffee and so lovely.
Nice guide and good coffee.
Abel Tasman National Park is beautiful!
