This is the best museum experience I have ever had
We spent two days over 10 hours here
The exhibits are exceptional.
The tribal art, boats and buildings are see inspiring with ample details to give you a sense of life and culture of the Maori
The Gallipoli exhibit takes to to another time you can feel goose bumps forming and it is transports you to another time
The modern art installations I personally think are better than the Tate.
The building is so impressive everywhere you look you see amazing architecture it is so easy to get around lots of lifts and easy to manage stairs
Great cafes with a really interesting selection of food to cater for all tastes
I wish I could pick it up and take it home

Both the Maori and the WW1 exhibits were spectacular. Sorry the WW1 exhibit is to be dismantled - I think it should be a permanent fixture. Well appointed, well researched, well written and the figures are spectacular.

Really good. Enjoyed bush city and extinct animal section. Not a great whale exhibition and it was the only part that cost money!

Big variety of everything, good explanations of how animals and plants came to NZ. Not a 10 because some things you can touch were damaged.

Been about 3 times, and I still haven't seen it all. The little show every hour in the theatre by the arts was cool.

Definately reccommend going, but found info was more aimed at kids than adults. Seemed to be cases and cases of fish hooks with not much interesting data on them. Would rather have found out the meaning of the tatoos.
