Fantastic experience! Every single thing was excellent from the booking to the moment when heading back home: staff, equipment, facilities, safety. The most professional outdoor adventure company I've ever seen -perfect!

Awesome. Just one of about a million positive words that I could use to describe the Rafting New Zealand company.
I recently spent an afternoon with the company battling the water on a Grade 3 river. The experience had everything I expected and more. Between the welcome from Luke and Pianika to the laughs we shared on the Raft with Brett our guide it trully was a brilliant day.
I WILL be returning to the site to battle another river in the near future as the time spent there has left a lasting impression on me. For all those who have already been congratulations and for all those who are going to go, just kick back, relax and enjoy the ride as Rafting New Zealand will do everything else for you! (Except paddle haha!)

Myself and 2 friends have just spent the most amazing day Grade 3 rafting with Rafting New Zealand. We had such an awesome day, from being greeted by Luke & Pianika at their lovely base in Turangi, to meeting Brett our guide for the day. The whole operation is run extremely professionally with amazing service, friendly smiles, perfect equipment & a full brief of what we'd be doing for the day.
The value of the trip is second to none. I still think out of all the activities we've done in NZ, this has to be the best value for money! We had about 2 1/2 hours on the river going through approx 50 rapids, from pretty tame ones to quite a few that had us screaming like girls! Brett is an amazing guide who is full of knowledge about the area, the wildlife, and he knows that river like the back of his hand! I loved the fact he speaks Maori during the trip, made it feel really authentic!
The little touches of having a hot Milo and chocolate bar after the cliff jumps, to having a beer & a hot dog afterwards are fantastic. It's these little gestures that make it so special & will keep people returning. We're already thinking of doing their overnight camping rafting trip (during Summer though!!)
I would go rafting with Rafting New Zealand again tomorrow! Keep up the awesome work guys, 11 out of 10!!

Probably the best outdoors experience I've had in NZ since we came to live here 3 years ago. We took our 3 and 4 yo children down the Tongariro with Rafting New Zealand, and we certainly will be back for more. Amazing facilities, top-of-the-line gear, finely tuned operation - and most importantly: competent and friendly people. We all had a blast, thanks again !

This nature of this country is to see the raft and get to know one of the most beautiful experiences in my travels have been ...
Whether the rapids or the deliberate jump in the river ... any time
just great.
I thank you, especially Brett and Nicole for the experience on your river
The hot dogs and beer at the end round the whole thing, of course, right from ...
Too bad that your so far away yet since The Sunday tour is still open ... ;-))
So until next time on the river

I am lost for words. What an absolutely awesome company and tour!!! Pianika and Luke defiantely know how to run an adventure tourism company! Out of all the fun we had last weekend, all 4 of us have definately agreed that this was the high light!! Will (and have) reccommend theis company to everybody. We are alrady planning our next trip to do the grade 5 rafting! Brett was an awesome tour guide!! Loved Bruno as well. Hope to see you all soon either in Waitomo or on the river.

A great experience and alot of fun. The trip on the river had everything with exciting rapids and then calmer, slower areas and we were on the water for a decent amount of time. We got to jump off a waterfall which was fun but the water was freezing! Very friendly staff who made us feel welcome, this includes Dean who picked us up from our accommodation, the shop staff, Luke, and especially John who was our guide. They made the trip interesting and enjoyable. We had a hot chocolate and choccy whilst in the raft and then had a hotdog and beer at the end which was much appreciated. Also loved Bruno (the dog).

Top, top guide (Jon), really good kit and a fantastic run down a Grade 3. One of the best things we did during our trip (and we did loads!!). Hot chocolate provided and chocolate and choice of doing a waterfall jump - the fella did it but I didn't!! Rafting New Zealand were a professional outfit who really looked after us, very knowledgable about the environment and good value for money, super photos too!! - thoroughly recommended.

This was the most exciting outdoor adventure event I've done so far in New Zealand! What it made it so special was not only the amazing Tongariro River with more than 50 rapids and two adrenalin pumping waterfalls but also the super friendly guides! The very special: a hot chocolate after the jumps in the cold water! :-) I'm looking forward to go there again to raft with Luke and Pianika, a very nice couple running the business in a bit different way than usual.

What a way to spend the last day of 2009 by white water rafting down the Tongariro River. The scencery was just magnificent. Our hosts Luke and Paniakia were very friendly as were all the staff. Our guide John was fantastic and was very clear on the instructions on what we had to do in the raft. The watefall jump was definetly a highlight of the trip. I am 44 and did the jump. A must do for anyone going to New Zealand. Worth every cent. Liz Victoria Australia
