Leave space in your schedule for just wandering - many cities have lovely parks, domain lands and botanic gardens. Albert Park in central Auckland is awesome.

The jetboat tour to the Bridge to Nowhere is a "must do" for all travellers. It is so much fun to go on the river with 60km/h. Ben, our guide and driver, knows the whole history of the stunning Bridge to Nowhere and he showed us so many pictures and photographs with lots of historical information. He drove the Jetboat safely on the mighty Whanganui River so that we could enjoy the fantastic landscape.
I will definitely come back and do the 3-day-canoe-trip with them, because the Whanganui National Park is amazing and 'Bridge to Nowhere' is the perfect company to take a trip in this area.
Thank you Jo and Ben for this wonderful and funny trip!!!
See you soon :)

The bridge to Nowhere lodge offered great accomodation the rooms were clean and tidy. The kitchen faciities for self catering were very good, with plenty of utensils etc or if you dont want to cook it can all be done for you..On the one night we had a meal cooked for us it was far beyond our expectations. The meals were tasty and well cooked and plenty of it.Joe our host couldnt have done more he was always ready to make our stay there memorable. This would be a great place to take children as the lodge has numerous animals and they are all friendly great for kids. There is a good choice of things to do from walks to trips up river .As I was with a group we also did the trip up river and walked into the bridge to nowhere Our Jet boat driver came with us to the bridge and carried our very welcome cup of tea or coffee.Over all the bridge to Nowhere Lodge is great value and I would do it all again. What a great place it was to watch NZ win the rugby world cup

The perfect destination for our tramping group of nine people at Labour weekend.
Thanks to Joe and his family we all had a relaxing, interesting and fun time. Everything was well organised and the facilities are comfortable, warm and welcoming and nothing is too much trouble for the hosts. There are many outdoor activities in the area, easily accessible by very safe jetboat driving. NZ wilderness at its best!! Cathy.

Having heard so much about this company from many that have stayed here in the past thought we would give it a go as well.
Being a bit of a sceptic myself though, i thought i would do a little googling and read a few reveiws from others first before we did our booking.
After googling the trail info and reading reviews from others, i contacted these guys in regards to biking the Mangapurua Cycle Trail that has been developed as part of the great mountains to the sea cycle way.
This company has it all covered. Every thing from transfers to and from the track, accommodation on and of the track, jet boat shuttles, the works. These guys do it all.

Highly recommend this company.

What an amazing experiance we had at this location. A group of us from Australia on a 10 day visit wanted to do some thing a little differant with our time here. So we hired some mountain bikes and road the Bridge to Nowhere mountain bike track.
The guys from bridge to Nowhere organized every thing from bike hire, road transport and accommodation both in Raetihi and on the river.
Keep up the good work.
10/10 guys

Great destination for an adventure weekend trip. Mountain Bike the Bridge to Nowhere track, jet boat to the Bridge to Nowhere Lodge to relax overnight and then canoe down the Wanganui river. The lodge organised all the transfers for us making for very easy planning. A fun mountainbike track with lots of downhills, brilliant views, historical sites - a real remote experience. The lodge is in a serene spot above the river with lovely views. The food was plentiful and delicious, friendly staff and clean rooms. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend this lodge!
