Fantastic Day! John the Walrus is a New Zealand Treasure - every bit as much as Tonga Island and its seals.

I hadn't really considered quad-biking as one of our many adventures in NZ, but I was really pleased that my wife turned left off the main road and found Happy Valley. Despite our relatively advanced years (59/60) we both enjoyed it immensely. The views were wonderful, and the range of terrain added to the adventure. Our guide, Fletch, couldn't have been more helpful, and made sure that we were all safe but still having fun. The highlight was getting to the SkyWire and swooping out across the valley for a mile right across to a distant location we could barely see from the start. Then on the return journey, we got to see a 2,000 year old matai tree, the oldest in the world. All in all, highly recommended.

Great day for scenery. Would have been a 10/10 except one from our party was thrown off her horse.

We did this in high winds and rain but it didn't take away the fun, it only added to it. It was safe, the guides were excellent and due to the weather, we were the only two so it felt like a private tour.
If you like this sort of thing Definate must do.
