Book well in advance for events - e.g. Wild Food Festival, Hokitika. When hiring a campervan - check very closely that everything works correctly.

Great little ski field, out of the 6 we skied Ohau would have to be in the top 3. great variety of runs for such a small field. Lifts were slower than most but whats it matter when you have one of the best views in NZ. Very friendly staff and locals.

Need a lot of snow to cover rocks, good powder, not too pricey.
